Bleary eyed? Um, why yes, yes I am, thank you. Surrounded by positive energy? Yes, thank you, my Spooky Friends, I DO feel it.
YESTERDAY was another milestone. Our listing agent came here and then we went on to Mom's house and she viewed them, warts and all, like a doctor. I now have an arsenal of Do This and Do That instructions to bring my little house up to the level of our kitchen, which she LOVED, and so there will be no sitting around staring at the TV for The Husband. (I lie, it is actually his computer) We have SO much stuff to clear from this house and so The Husband is going to order our very own storage pod or two for us to fill with thngs that we will not need to live with for the next couple of months. I am ready. So, long story short...one month. One month to listing. YIKES! We have been here 23 years at the beginning of August and so this is a big deal. Now, we just need help with hauling and painting the outside and the rest will all work out.
TOMORROW will be another milestone, if all is as it should be. We are looking at one more property, to appease the gods and then if our gut (ummm, my gut) still says that this is the place that was put in our path, we will write up an offer. G U L P. I am leaning heavily on the real estate agent that is working on our behalf up there and he is just the sweetest guy, which is one more confirmation that we are doing the right thing.
LAST NIGHT The Husband's buddy that has the big train layout that is the Friday Night fun for the guys, put another piece into the puzzle, telling him that if we close before he signs his final papers at The Corporation, he can stay with them during the week and drive up for the weekends. That is big, people...no hotel. Another piece of the puzzle has been inspected and moved into place. See???
Hehe....you cannot imagine how much stuff you can live without, when you have to!*LOL* Im soo glad for you...it sounds like you have a foot on it now!! :-)
How is you dyeing coming along...hmmm!*GRIN*

Sounds like when we moved to California. Everything suddenly came together perfectly, and for us it was after a year of corporate dithering over the transfer. And we were petrified of the mortgage we were taking on; now it amazes us how well we did, 18 years ago, finding the perfect spot. It all works out.

And the clock keeps a ticking away. Hope The Husband likes retirement better than I did. However, the fun part is the countdown and then sleeping in for a month.
23 years is a long time to accumulate important 'stuff' that you love. And you are right - this is HUGE!
Have fun and keep your sense of humor at all times!
