I have been knit knit knitting all day, trying to finish the lovely golden textured cardigan jacket for the show. One more sleeve, baby. I also got the new Desert Cardie sewn up but it is waiting for buttons and so I will probably just do both cardigans at the same time, raiding the Ernst button stash. (yes, I am loaded for bear in that department and I might as well have first picks from the new stuff!) I'll get photos shot tomorrow. Trish came by with a couple more pairs of socks for the display, which I am mighty happy about.
It was so nice to hear from Anne in Slidell, Louisianna today. Nothing like hearing from hurrican victims who are thankful for having the lights on and not so thankful for having to stand in line for an hour just to get into a Wal-Mart to make me count my blessings.
We had a great time at the couple's baby shower thrown for The Daughter and Son-in-law. It was a great testament to them that people drove for distances with little kids to attend this very nice soiree thrown by Richard's best man and his beautiful wife. Jas & Vince...kudo's for the party, you guys.
I thought that I would show you a couple of the memorable bits. We have a very cool shop called The Nurture Center, here in Lafayette and The Husband and I found this adorable little lion fleece cover for the baby's car seat. It looks like a backless sleeping bag that zips up the front. No one had seen this thing before and so it was a SCORE for the oldsters.
The other really cool thing that they got was a wicker laundry basket with a long long ribbon laundry line with decorated clothes pins and oodles of cute things. How imaginative of Tiffany and John and what a memorable gift! (John was telling how he helped glue the bits and pieces on the clothes pins.)
That jack o lantern looks very Rod. Did he cut it, or did you? Baby's first tooth right there in anticipation of all the baby-bouncing ahead of you all. Cool.

Well, if it looks like him, it is because I carved it. He carves triangles and straight lines...I am sort of a wacko pumpkin head...
