Remarkable blue skies, pollen by the bucket loads, plants growing inches a day (thinking that somehow we are in Alaska), mosquitos and baseball.
The tyke who could hit a pitched ball over the Little House is now suiting up for some more organized sports. He is five-and-change and has had to adapt his skills down to T-Ball, where it is always a Tie and there is No Crying, unless the bench ruckus gets a little too physical. I can't get over the full outfits that these kids wear but it is getting them ready for real Little League, where parents shoot their mouths off and the weak go home. I dunno, I like this training wheels baseball and think that it is mighty cute.
Jakey doing warmups with Grampy.
These kids have a great time and while there are some Little Stars that emerge, the kids who have had no experience get a chance to play and run the bases.
Yes, the Schnickle is revealed...Jacob Chavez.
He is actually quite proud that his Grammy is the sponsor of the team and how fun is it that a YARN company is doing this, instead of a restaurant or car wash? I think that it is awesome.
So, do you know the OTHER reason why I really feel that Spring is here? The silk moths have come back and are here in droves. Do you think that they know that this is a spinner's home? They are everywhere and here are four of them in one cluster. So cool.
As of today, there are five more sleeps until 10 Secrets of the Laidback Knitters is officially released! So far, the reviews are awesome and it is amazing to know that it is going to be in everybody's hands Very Very Soon!
Lisa, I can't believe that your little man is old enough for T-Ball already! How time flys.

Love the Baseball aka T Ball. I am enjoying that with grandchildren , also. I have to travel at least 100 miles to see any of them play, though. Never seen silk moths before. LOVE it.

I LOVE t-ball - and I do not like baseball at all! But t-ball is a hoot!

I *just* pre-ordered the book. I'll be keeping an eye on the mailbox!
Bravo to you and the Schnickle. Yarn and ball games are a classic combination.
