I got the sweetest note this morning from a gal responding to the post about saying goodbye to Sasha and I realized that I did not ever take a picture of where that dog now resides! Our daughter, Lauren, bought a tree for us and we found the perfect spot to have the dog, outside of my dye room window. Rod dug the big hole and I put Sashie's ashes down at the bottom of that hole, before putting some lovely planting mix in there, over her. In went the dogwood and the rest is history. That little tree is a happy tree and I go out to talk to Sash and tell her how well she is doing with that tree.
See? Life DOES go on and speaking of that, we had a baby shower for Lauren, this past Saturday. Yes, it has been five and half years since Jakey was born and there have been a lot of changes since that time so it was fitting that this new little family got to have a party! Lauren's friends from college and jobs were brought together, along with my buddies, Brenda Patipa (thanks for the pictures) and Lorrie Hunter. You know both of these gals from my stories but now you can see Lorrie, who is my good right arm, here in the studio and a good buddy.
We had so much fun making panini, judging wine and eating fancy desserts before the presents were opened.
I think that the girl really DID have a great time and got so many wonderful gifts, thanks to the generosity of our friends!
As the party broke up, the party favors became all about the CANDY and girlie toenail polish!
It was just a wonderful day. I have to thank all of the gals for coming to honor Lauren and the Bump. I heard the heartbeat in an email today and it is loud and healthy! Don't you just love technology? We still do not know the sex and they are excited for the Surprise in 5 weeks. :o)
Beautiful picture of Mother and Daughter and such a happy and exciting time. Enjoy. The days go by too fast :)

A dog-wood. No other tree could have been so perfect.
You two are so beautiful! Best wishes for a healthy and easy delivery.
