I certainly did not fathom a guess that we were going to have such a success but when you go into something with a pure heart and only the best of intentions, people come up to the call. I wanted to catch up the totals, so far. As of today at 3:30pm Pacific, we are sitting at 275 skeins and with the extra $150 of Pure Donation funds, we have broken the $5k mark and have reached $5080! This does not include the donation that will come from our old friends at the Corporation Formerly Known As Prophane Industries, which will cough up an extra $3k to match our effort.
This is a Big Gift from a business as small as mine but it is time to Give Back, for all of our luck and good fortune.
Thanks so much for trusting us with this endeavor. My accounting firm is called My Pen and A Post-it. We have gone to a second piece of that yellow paper and each tick mark represents a skein sold. I am so grateful to The Kolhers for the BIG order of 24 skeins and being cool and patient enough to wait until the end of the run, simply because I keep stealing skeins out of their pile!
On another note, Kristen Tendyke has been generous enough to release the pattern that she designed, using ONE skein of Lhasa, as a freebie! You will find the link on the Lhasa page. What a great thing to knit up quickly, as a terrific gift. Kristen is an accomplished designer of knit and crochet patterns and I am thrilled to have had her do this for all of us.
Next time, I promise to take care of the kid pictures. I have to show you some of the amazing work by a gold country photographer.
Thanks again and MWAH!!!

That is fantastic Lisa. You did a wonderful job raising money for The Grace Foundation and I'm sure they appreciate every penny. $5K + $3K may be more than you expected, but aren't there 11 more days in June? :D
